KL-Singapore High-Speed Rail to run 4 trains every hour when operations commence in 2026
When the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail commences operations in 2026, it will be served by four trains every hour. But not all of them will stop in Singapore — you can expect express trains to come by every 30 minutes here, between Jurong East and the Bandar Malaysia terminal, which lies at the outskirts of downtown KL.
“The non-stop express service will reach Singapore in 90 minutes and passengers boarding at Bandar Malaysia station will be able to clear Singapore Immigration before boarding,” explained MyHSR Corp project delivery director Mark Loader at a media briefing on Friday.
In comparison, a road trip between Singapore and KL by car would take about four hours.
As for the other two trains, they will “cater to the domestic service”, with intermediary stops at all seven stations in Malaysia, according to Tonny Yeap, MyHSR Corp’s director of the commercial division, Channel NewsAsia reported.

The seven stations in Malaysia include Bandar Malaysia, Bangi-Putrajaya, Seremban, Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Iskandar Puteri.
MyHSR, which falls under the umbrella of Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance, is collaborating with the Land Transport Authority on the project. Out of the 350km line, only 15km will be in Singapore, The Straits Times noted.
The project is scheduled to start at the end of 2018.
