Man's body found in Geylang River near Dakota Crescent

The body of a man was found floating in the Geylang River near 74 Dakota Crescent on Monday morning (14 Aug).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Yahoo News Singapore they were alerted to the incident at 7.45am and dispatched a fire engine, a Red Rhino and an ambulance to the scene.

SCDF officers manually retrieved the body of the man from the river. The man was said to be in his thirties.

The man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Police have classified this as a case of unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
