JB petrol station murder: Missing white BMW found in oil palm estate
JOHOR BARU: Police has found the missing stolen white BMW which was used in the gruesome murder of a man at a petrol station in Taman Pelangi on Dec 17.
The BMW which police said had used fake registration plate numbers was found abandoned in an oil palm plantation in Ayer Baloi, Pontian.
The car was found by workers at the plantation, by the side of the dirt road around 3pm yesterday.
The vehicle was used by the assailants to run over the man twice in the incident which was entirely recorded in a video footage and viraled in the social media.
Four men in their 20s were in the BMW during the attack. One of the men had used a sharp weapon believed to be a knife to stab the victim on his chest.

The victim who had been identified by police as a triad gang member died on the spot after the car ran over him twice, and sped off. A special investigation team was set up immediately to trackdown the potential suspects.
Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said since investigation on the case started police had detained 11 men and four woman in various locations including Penang and Singapore. They were aged between 16 and 26 years old.
"They were detained to facilitate us in our investigation. Investigation is still on going as we are bringing in more individuals into custody for questioning," he said.
Khalil said police had yet to retrieve the weapon used in the stabbing. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
