We sure love our otter community in Singapore, what with the lovable creatures perpetually making headlines for every little “aww”-inducing thing they do (from gallivanting around an HDB block to curiously sniffing a sleeping man to taking on the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve crocodile).
So here’s the latest on the animals: Two high SES otters were spotted splashing around in the swimming pool of a Sentosa Cove condominium, captured on video for all to see by an individual who shared the clip on the OtterWatch Facebook page.
According to The Straits Times, the video-taker is a resident at The Berth by the Cove, and she was taking a dip in the pool with a friend when they saw they had furry company. Naturally, she grabbed her phone and filmed them frolicking in the pool and a nearby pond.
Apparently, this isn’t the first sighting of otters at the building — it seems like the creatures are quite fond of living the high life at the condominium, as they’ve been sighted by security guards and the concierge officer rather regularly, usually in the wee hours of the morning from 1am to 4am.
Perhaps the animals were hoping for a return of the koi population, which they initially feasted on before the condominium subsequently removed the fish.
